Chubu · Driven from Nagoya

Aichi
Our home — where the country was unified

¥300,000
per day · with car and driver · up to 6 guests

Three men born within an hour of here unified Japan: Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu. This is where we live, where our dojo is, and the day where Ken can put a bow in your hands and mean it. Kyudo, tea, a 1,900-year-old shrine, and the best-value wagyu in the country.

A day in Aichi

A starting point, not a script. Every stop can be swapped, dropped or lingered over on the day.

09:00

Pickup

Nagoya hotel, Nagoya Station, or Centrair Airport.

09:45

Atsuta Jingu

1,900 years old, and home to the Kusanagi sword — one of the three Imperial Regalia. A forest inside the city.

11:00

Kyudo — Japanese archery

Not a photo op. A real lesson at our dojo: stance, breath, the release. Most guests hit the target. (Optional, ¥30,000/person.)

13:00

Lunch

Hitsumabushi eel, miso-katsu, or Japan’s most underrated wagyu. Halal cuisine fully arrangeable.

14:30

Nagoya Castle & Hommaru Palace

The reconstructed palace interiors — gold-leaf sliding doors rebuilt by hand over ten years.

16:00

Arimatsu

A preserved Tokaido post town, home of shibori tie-dye for 400 years. Dye your own cloth.

17:30

Tea, in a real tea room

Chado in our own tea room. Silence, a bowl, and the reason a warrior culture built this. (Optional.)

19:00

Drop-off

Hotel, station or airport.

Do you need the car here?

Yes — bring the Alphard

Nagoya city itself is fine by subway, but the dojo, Arimatsu and the tea room are spread out, and the day only flows with a car. This is our home ground — the car is how we hold the timing.

Getting there

This is our base. Zero transfer time, and the deepest access we have anywhere in Japan.

Pickup points

  • Any hotel in Nagoya
  • Nagoya Station
  • Chubu Centrair Airport (NGO)
  • Toyota / Okazaki / Toyoake

When to come

Year-round. Indoor experiences make it the strongest rainy-day and mid-winter choice.

The rate

¥100,000 guide only — trains, walking and taxis at cost.
¥300,000 with the Alphard and driver, door to door — about ¥50,000 each with 6 of you.
¥500,000 guided by Master Ken himself, six days a month.

Three ways to travel with us

Every one of them is one private group per day, priced for the group rather than per head.
The only question is whether you need the car — and on some days you genuinely do not.
We will tell you which.
