Japan/About

BUSHIDO LLC · Founded 2023 · Toyoake, Aichi

The company
behind the journeys

Japan holds more than culture. Tea, calligraphy, archery, the etiquette of a shrine — these are not pastimes. They are disciplines for arranging how a person stands, breathes and treats the people in front of them. BUSHIDO LLC exists to translate that into something a visitor can actually experience, rather than watch.

Three things we hold to

愛と感謝

Love & Gratitude

To meet everyone we encounter with love and gratitude. A business, to us, is simply a way of carrying one person’s intention to another.

大調和

Great Harmony

A society where everyone lives independently and as themselves — people with disabilities, older people, people who arrived from elsewhere, each with a role, living together.

武士道

The Way

The bushido we teach is not a fighting spirit. It is courtesy, harmony, resolve, gratitude, self-discipline and respect for others. An axis for living now.

What we are after is not sightseeing. It is the moment a person touches something in Japan and reconsiders how they live. That is what we are trying to send out into the world from Nagoya.

Three pillars

01

Inbound & Japanese Cultural Experience

BUSHIDO JAPAN

Fully private cultural experiences for visitors, mostly from Europe, North America and Australia — kyudo, calligraphy, tea, zen, samurai armour photography, and private tours across all 47 prefectures. We do not put a costume on a guide and call it culture. We take you to people who genuinely do this for a living.

AI & Social Media

BUSHIDO ai company

Social media management, short-form video, AI workflow automation, and training for owner-operators and small companies. We run thirteen accounts of our own, so what we teach is what we have already had to make work.

Regional Co-creation

Nagoya Inbound Summit

A privately led gathering under the banner “Nagoya: from a place you pass through to a place you come for.” It connects tourism, food, culture, government, transport, accommodation and media across the region. Kensuke Ueoka is its representative.

Who is responsible for what

More than one company is involved in your day, and you should know which does what.

Travel contract, reservations and payment

Handled by our licensed travel partner, Rollei Co., Ltd. (Aichi Prefecture Registered Travel Agency No. 3-1516). BUSHIDO plans the day, guides it and looks after you.

Vehicles and driving

Every vehicle is chartered from a licensed operator. We never carry guests in a private car of our own. It costs us more and it is the only way we are willing to do it.

Certified guides

Anyone guiding under the BUSHIDO name has passed the same gate: two days of training, a first day shadowed by Ken himself, a rating from every guest, and yearly re-certification.

The facts

Master Ken

Kensuke Ueoka — Master Ken

  • Kyudo — 4th dan
  • Japanese calligraphy — 6th dan, 30 years
  • Yabusame — horseback archery
  • Yoga instructor, RYT200
  • Triathlete
  • Born and living in Aichi

Founder, BUSHIDO LLC · Representative, Nagoya Inbound Summit

Kensuke Ueoka — Master Ken — was born in Aichi to a mother who holds the rank of kyoshi in kyudo, and he had a bow in his hands before he had opinions about it. Forty years later he holds 4th dan in kyudo and 6th dan in calligraphy, rides yabusame — archery from a galloping horse — and runs BUSHIDO LLC from the province that produced the three warlords who unified Japan.

He is also the representative of the Nagoya Inbound Summit, a director of a care company running a group home for adults with disabilities, and a triathlete who gets up early enough to be irritating. The range is not scattered: kyudo taught him the axis, calligraphy taught him concentration, and the care work taught him what it means for a person to live with dignity. He guides the way he was taught to shoot — quietly, without exaggeration, with complete attention on the person in front of him.

Master Ken personally guides six days a month and no more — those are the A Day with Master Ken dates. Every other day is led by a BUSHIDO Certified Guide he has trained and signed off himself. If you want Ken specifically, say so on the form and we will tell you honestly which dates are still his.

BUSHIDO is not tourism. It is transformation.
